Hoffmantown Baptist Church, New
Mexico's largest worship center, required over eight years of
study and planning. Its campus sits on 62 acres in Albuquerque's
rapidly expanding Northeast Heights. Jon Moore traveled extensively
to research some of the largest churches in the World, including
the largest Baptist church in the world in Korea.
The design is based on the concept
of a "church home", designed for knowledge, worship and fellowship.
This concept is carried throughout the facility in its interior
design schemes. Natural and artificial lighting are utilized throughout
the facility.
The first phase of the "Building
Program" resulted in the design of a 120,000 SF, two-story education
wing, a 2,200-seat multi-purpose worship center, a family life
center which accommodates the church's recreational programs,
and an educational facility.
The phased master plan includes
six structures, including a worship center with a total seating
capacity of 5,500, a fellowship hall, education buildings, family
life center, music rehearsal facilities, state-of-the-art multi-media
capabilities, administration areas, recreational facilities, kitchen
and dining facilities, a chapel, and parking for 2,000 cars.
Dr. Charles Lowery was our pastor
at Hoffmantown Church for many years while our headquarters were
located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Charles now travels the United States
as a guest motivational speaker at many churches in Florida, and
we continue to be blessed with his presence in our lives. In addition,
we were recently asked to sit on the board of directors of the
Lowery Institute For Excellence (LIFE Inc.), a non-profit organization
whose purpose is to encourage, inspire, and motivate men and women
through teaching the essential principles of success in the workplace,
relationships, and in all areas of life. LIFE Inc., offers practical
and helpful seminars that assist each person in achieving his
or her full potential, and provides resources addressing a wide
variety of subjects.
