This facility was the first phase
of a multi-phased plan for an 14 acre site, where the church had
relocated to a growing neighborhood. The first phase, totaling
15,500 square feet, included a 650-seat multipurpose worship space,
an entry foyer, classrooms, kitchen, restrooms, and administration
facilities.
The facilities are sited to maximize
the use of the property, while responding to the difficult topography
and arroyo in north Albuquerque. The entry and multipurpose area
provide a backdrop from the road to the majestic Sandia Mountains.
Classrooms were designed to maximize flexibility and growth.
Phase 2 includes a gymnasium, additional
classrooms, and storage facilities to the north of the site. A
1,200-seat sanctuary, support spaces, and additional classrooms
are planned for future phases.
